The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for
the people to restrain the government - lest it come to dominate our lives and interests".
- Patrick Henry
Dear Fellow Patriot,
The above quote is a reminder of the wisdom that any government that can grant rights can also take
them away. Our constitution is based on the principle that our rights are inherent, or God given, and
the purpose of government is to protect those rights.
This is the basis on which our country was founded and is the reason that America has become the envy
of the world. Conversely, the Charter of the United Nations is everything that our constitution is not. It
is a blueprint for an international dictatorship. It was drafted by communists for communist control of
the world. Indeed, even the first acting Secretary General was Alger Hiss, an American citizen but a
communist and traitor who was later convicted of being a soviet spy.
The UN was initially sold after WW II to a war-weary world as the means of preventing wars.
History has proven that to be a myth. Although the UN has done a few good things In order to
keep support for it, more and more, the UN is showing its true colors, and becoming more brazen
in its pronouncements and agendas.
United States Supreme Court decisions have been made on the basis of the UN and international law,
rather than our constitution. Plans are in the works to indoctrinate our students to become world
citizens - instead of Americans. A carbon tax on air travel is on the UN's wish list as well as a Global
Mental Health Plan. And, the UN is pursuing the establishment of an international criminal court.
But, it is not all gloom and doom. Just recently, we have had a couple of major victories over the
designs of the one-worlders. A recent dire threat to our freedoms by the UN was LOST - the Law of the
Sea Treaty - which would have given control to the UN for everything happening over, on or under the
oceans. Thanks to all who contacted their Senators, and to you if you are one of them, LOST will not
be brought up for a vote this year, as there are not enough votes for it to pass. This is a huge defeat
for the enemies of freedom and a reminder that we, the people, can influence our legislators to do
the right thing - to vote the right way.
Another critical issue has been the UN Arms Treaty, which would threaten our ability to bear arms. It
would have restricted private sales of guns across national boundaries allegedly to stop them from
going to drug cartels and gangs (the same folks Holder sent guns to.) In fact, it would empower the UN
to require gun registration and even confiscation. But, as reported by the Washington Times on 7/28
"Talks over the UN Arms Trade Treaty fell apart today … when the United States requested an extension
to the time to negotiate the agreement. This opened the door to other countries to begin registering
objections, and it soon became clear that reaching agreement within the allowed timeframe would be
impossible." The result was that there was no vote. This is a huge victory, but only a temporary one as
it will be brought up again later, probably soon after the election.
Yet, another matter of grave concern is far more complex and far-reaching. That is Agenda 21. In a
nutshell, Agenda 21 is a UN originated agenda but one that would be federally, state and locally
government -implemented. Agenda 21 is government control over our water sources, our housing,
our transportation - even the number of children we may have.
I know. That sounds totally preposterous. "That could never happen in America.," you say.
Unfortunately, much of it has been legislated - and some of the pieces have been implemented.
To research these and other UN matters, you can go to http://www.jbs.org/ or
http://www.thenewamerican.com/ or http://www.libertynewsnetwork.tv/ and search by subject
matter. Also, http://ccmp.webnode.com/ has information about local Agenda 21 issues.
But there is good news on that front as well. Enclosed is an article reporting on the recent conference
of countries throughout the world, Rio + 21, the purpose of which was to add impetus to the
implementation of Agenda 21. There were detractors at the conference who were interviewed by
authors for The New American magazine, though not by the mass media.
What can you do? Become informed. If you would like a copy of the book, Inside the United Nations,
we will send one to you. A donation of $4 would be appreciated. Just give us your mailing address.
This book is an easy read which gives you the history of the UN and its machinations and purposes.
Then spread the word to others.
Contact your federal legislators to prevent EPA's implementation of Agenda 21. Go to JBS.org, search
for Stop EPA and find that article with a link that will take you to a page where you can send a letter to
your legislators. Everything is done for you to send it. All you have to do after you have given your name
and contact information one time, is just make a couple clicks. The letter will be sent to your legislators.
And, for the ultimate solution - Get US out of the UN ! Ask your legislators to support Ron Pails' The
American's Sovereignty Restoration Act which would get the US out of the UN. That article may be on
the same page as the one for Stop EPA. If not search for Get US out.
If you have any question, please feel free to contact us.
