Senate Showcases UN Disabilities Treaty

 

The United Nations Treaty on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

 

TO RATIFY THIS TREATY, IT NEEDS 67 VOTES!

 

SENATOR MIKE LEE HAS SECURED 36 SENATORS WHO WOULD NOT VOTE FOR THE TREATY "DURING THE LAME DUCK SESSION" (JANUARY 20, 2013)

 

Treaty Doc. 112-7 - "Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" 

 

The bill passed cloture 61-36-3 with 9 Republican Supporters (Ayotte(NH), Barrasso(WY), Brown(OH), Collins(ME), Hatch(IA), Lugar(IN), McCain(AZ), Murkowski(AK) and Snowe(ME)), along with Virginia's two Senators (Webb and Warner).
