GROUNDS FOR IMPEACHMENT

OBAMA AND HIS CREW COVERED UP THE
ASSASSINATION OF AMBASSADOR STEVENS

Text from the front side of the leaflet is as follows:
September 26, 2012
President Barack Obama is guilty of covering up the assassination of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other U.S. diplomats on Sept. 11th, 2012 in Benghazi, Libya. For this “high crime and misdemeanor,” the President should be brought before the U.S. House of Representatives for impeachment.
The facts in the case for impeachment are proven and undeniable. Beginning within hours of the heinous killing of Ambassador Stevens and the others, and the over-running of the CIA safe-house in Benghazi, President Obama, White House spokesman Jay Carney, and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, conducted a campaign of outright lies, to conceal from the American people their complicity in the deaths in Benghazi. They knew within hours of the assassination that the attack had been a premeditated 9/11 attack by elements of the British-Saudi sponsored Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb.
The U.S. State Department was so concerned about the deteriorating security situation on the ground in Libya that they issued a travel warning on Aug. 27th, 2012 against any Americans going to Libya. They singled out the uncontrolled situation in the Benghazi area, where terrorist groups had been gaining ground for months. Why, under these deteriorating circumstances, Mr. President, were there no U.S. Marine guards at the Benghazi consulate? Why was security at the compound “outsourced” to a private British mercenary company, Blue Mountain Group, with ties to the very British Special Air Services (SAS) that has been arming and training the Libyan Jihadists to wage a terrorist war in Syria, Mali, and in other parts of North Africa and Southwest Asia? These are questions that must be answered now—before the American people go to the polls on November 6th.
Not only did President Obama and Ambassador Rice lie repeatedly, that the Benghazi attack was a “spontaneous” act of mob violence in retaliation for a little-known video slandering the Prophet Mohammed, but on Sept. 16th, long after the President of Libya had provided details on the Al Qaeda cell behind the Benghazi assassinations, Ambassador Rice was dispatched by President Obama to appear on five national television networks, to repeat those lies about the incident. Even after the head of Al Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawaheri, issued a public statement, claiming responsibility for the Stevens assassination as a new 9/11 attack, avenging the killing of a top Libyan associate by U.S. drone attacks in June, the President and his crew continued to suppress the truth.
When CNN obtained a copy of Ambassador Stevens’ personal diaries, and reported that he knew he was on an Al Qaeda hit list and feared for his life, the White House attempted to block the story and persisted in suppressing daily revelations proving that the attack had been a premeditated act of international terrorism. It has now been corroborated by numerous eyewitnesses that there never was a protest demonstration outside the Benghazi consulate on Sept. 11th, as the President, Ambassador Rice and others claimed. All that took place was a heavily armed, professional, pre-planned assault, resulting in the murders of Ambassador Stevens and the others.
Is this the kind of behavior that warrants a second term as President? For more than ten days, President Obama and his loyalists lied to the American people, refused to explain why the Commander-in-Chief had failed to provide protection to endangered American frontline diplomats and intelligence officers, and targeted those attempting to puncture the veil of lies.
When leading members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee attempted to launch an immediate investigation, to provide answers to the American people before November 6th, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) blocked the effort, deferring to the Administration and backing an executive branch inquiry that will not be completed before April 2013.

PRESS RELEASE: Press Conference Featuring Rep. Walter Jones, Lt. Col. Wilkerson, Lt. Col, Shaffer, Bruce Fein, General Joseph P. Hoar -- VIDEO & TRANSCRIPT Now Available

September 24, 2012 • 2:59PM
For Immediate Release
Washington D.C. Press Conference Hears Warnings: Congress Must Reassert Its Constitutional War Power Now!
A highly qualified trio of experts joined Congressman Walter B. Jones (R-NC) at a press conference convened by Rep. Jones on Capitol Hill on Sept. 21, to warn in no uncertain terms, that if Congress did not reassert its Constitutional power over declaring war by voting up Jones' House Concurrent Resolution 107, the Obama Administration was likely to provoke a new devastating conflict in the short term.
The video record [1] and full transcript [2] of this highly timely one-hour press conference is available at larouchepac.com/hcr107press. After being introduced by moderator Jeffrey Steinberg of EIR, Rep. Jones briefly explained his motivation behind HCR 107, which simply reasserts the Constitutional clause on Congress' responsibility to declare war, and states that any president who does not get Congressional authorization before entering war, will be immediately subject to impeachment. At present, HCR 107 has 12 cosponsors. Rep. Jones noted that Obama's decision to bomb Libya unilaterally played a big role in his motivation, and rued the fact that Congress did not even hold a hearing on his bill. He then introduced a panel comprised of Lt. Col. Lawrence Wilkerson (ret'd, former Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell), constitutional lawyer Bruce Fein (Associate Deputy Attorney General under President Reagan), and Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer, author of "Operation Dark Heart" exposing the Pentagon data-mining program known as Able Danger.
Col. Wilkerson identified Rep. Jones's initiative to prevent President Obama from launching a new war unilaterally, as "one of the most important points we confront today." He noted that the U.S. presidency has found it increasingly easy to go to war. "In the last decade, by conservative Pentagon estimates, we have killed over 300,000 people. That's a sobering thought, especially when there is no existential threat to the United States of America whatsoever." We should be ashamed, as Americans, to think we allowed this, and the destruction of the U.S. military, to happen. All because of "the facility with which the President of the United States can take this apathetic nation to war, and kill people!"
Bruce Fein, who has himself drafted articles of impeachment for President George W. Bush, Vice-President Cheney, and President Obama, took off from Col. Wilkerson's discussion of the death toll from the illegal wars. "Those 300,000 killings are murder," he said. "If you're not at war legally, those are homicides." He then reviewed the history of warfare as an expression of the imperial impulse, which, he documented, is why "every single Founding Father" at the Constitutional Convention opposed giving the Executive the sole power to declare war. Combining legislative, executive, and judicial power in one man, who is also an executioner, is "the very definition of tyranny." Fein took on the arguments from what he called the "invertebrate branch," Congress, against launching impeachment, because impeachment is allegedly "too radical." He reviewed at some depth the disasters and "blowback," which have been the result of the Executive's unilateral decision to go to war, starting with Libya, but including as well Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Kosovo.
Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer began by endorsing HCR 107, and then launched into an indictment of the current U.S. system as a continuation of the imperial tradition, going all the way back to the Roman Empire. "We have a system of adjudication, of assassination, at the senior level, that allows for the sovereign to do whatever the heck he wants," he charged. We must have Congress take an active role, he argued. Why don't we have a debate about going to war, he asked. He concluded with his statement on how important HCR 107 is: "[It's important] Not simply because it is something we're saying, that if it's passed, we'll have an impeachment potential for the President. It's more important that we use this to bring ourselves back to a point of sanity, a point of understanding the need for debate, the need to have a reconciliation of our country's actions, with our
intent with what we were founded on, with our Founding Fathers, 'cause there's a huge amount of daylight there, between what we are today, and what our Founding Fathers intended us to be."
- The Danger of Thermonuclear War -
Before opening up for questions, moderator Steinberg read a statement written for the conference by Gen. Joseph P. Hoar, a retired Marine Corps four-star general, who was both Chief of Staff and later the Commander in Chief of the U.S. Central Command.
"In their great wisdom, our Founding Fathers, gathered in Philadelphia to draft the new U.S. Constitution, gave the sole authority to declare war to the U.S. Congress. Having just waged a successful revolution to free themselves from the British Monarchy, our Founders understood that it was essential, to secure a representative form of republican self-government, that the power to declare war must be in the hands of Congress, and not in the Executive Branch. They were committed to preventing any form of monarchy or dictatorship.
"Nothing has transpired in the intervening centuries to justify any alteration in their wise decision. Under our Federal Constitution, only the Congress has the power to declare war, and that must remain a cardinal principle. In recent decades, we have seen an erosion of that Constitutional principle, and I fully concur that this erosion must be halted and reversed."
Steinberg also emphasized, in short remarks, that the war danger to which the previous speakers had alluded, was being viewed by the Russian and Chinese leadership as representing the threat of "general war," which would become "thermonuclear war" leading to "thermonuclear extinction."
During the Question and Answer period, Col. Wilkerson expounded at length, in response to a question from German political leader Helga Zepp-LaRouche, on the danger that any new war, particularly one against Iran, could lead into a thermonuclear confrontation between the U.S. and the Russians, that could lead to the extinction of civilization. Drawing on his history of study of Iran, and his participation in a recent study, conducted by a grouping of 35 former U.S. military, diplomatic and intelligence officials representing the highest levels of the institutions of the U.S. government, on the implications of an Israeli attack on Iran, Col. Wilkerson was specific. The requirements for regime change against Iran are "10 years, 500,000 troops, and $3 trillion," he said, but, yes, indeed, it could definitely spread, as could a NATO no-fly zone over Syria, to confrontation between NATO and Russia.
Bruce Fein made the final comment, once again passionately challenging the Congress, and the public, to return to the ideas on which the United States was based, the idea of a republic.

Studies Reveal U.S. Dark Age—Suicides, Bread-Lines, Life-Expectancy Dropping for the Poor. "If We Don't Remove Obama, It Will Be Fatal."

September 25, 2012 • 11:31AM
Although the statisticians cannot explain the causes, the realities of the economic collapse have begun to be reflected in their research. A new study published in the August issue of Health Affairs notes that, after years of diminishing increases, life expectancies for the least educated Americans have fallen by a whopping four years between 1990 and 2008. According to the New York Times article which reviewed the data, "the steepest declines were for white women without a high school diploma," who lost an average of five years of life (and are now below black women of similar education level), while white men without diplomas lost an average three years of life. Worldwide, the U.S. has fallen from 14th to 41st place since 1985. Among "developed nations, the U.S., which ranked 'in the middle of the pack'" in 1970, is now dead last.
Suicides have now overtaken auto fatalities as the number one cause of "accidental" deaths in the U.S., according to a study published Sept. 20 in the American Journal of Public Health, and reported in today's Daily Mail. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, between 2000 and 2009, the number of people who committed suicide in the U.S. has jumped a startling 71%, while deaths from auto accidents have dropped 25%. Even this number may be understated, researchers say, since "suicides are notoriously under-reported," and the study only accounted for suicides from "falls and poisonings" and did not include drug overdoses.
Filling out the picture of depressionary collapse in the U.S., is an article on "Obama's Hidden Bread Lines" [1] on conservative website Noisy Room. "We are in a Depression," states author Theresa Monroe-Hamilton, but Obama has managed to avoid those incriminating visuals of 1930s "bread lines" by using technology. Today, food stamps (or SNAP, Supplimental Nutrition Assistance Program) uses plastic cards, similar to credit cards, to dispense payments, allowing both the user and Obama to avoid the shame that would otherwise accompany the now 47 million recipients on the program.
She concludes correctly, that "if we don't remove Obama from office, it will be fatal. Period."

Barack Obama Has "Poked Out the Eyes" of U.S. Intelligence in Libya and the Mideast

September 25, 2012 • 10:30AM
Barack Obama is blinding the U.S. intelligence capability throughout the Middle East with his subservience to the British, and he must be ousted from office, Lyndon LaRouche reiterated today.
New revelations about the extent of threats from the Anglo-Saudi neo-Salafi forces that murdered U.S. Ambassador Chis Stevens and three other Americans, show that the deadly attack and the subsequent scramble to cover up Barack Obama's criminal culpability in failing to protect the U.S. Ambassador was, in the words of a New York Times official U.S. intelligence source, "a catastrophic intelligence loss." An American official who served in Libya told the New York Times (dateline 9/23), "We got our eyes poked out," because of the lack of security. Not only was the consulate looted, reported the Times, but a nearby annex that is being described as a makeshift "safehouse" was also destroyed and looted. The identities of Libyans who were collaborating with the CIA and other U.S. intelligence agencies as sources against the neo-Salafi Ansar al Sharia and Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) are believed to now be compromised.
The Times reports that "among the more than two dozen American personnel evacuated" from Benghazi after the assault "were about a dozen CIA operatives and contractors," who were there to conduct surveillance, gather information on "an array" of anti-American armed groups, and track weapons traffic, including shoulder-fired missiles and chemical weapons. The CIA mission, reported the Times, was much larger than many officials in the post-Qaddafi Libyan government knew — including the Deputy Prime Minister Mustafa Abushagour, and they were critical to training a new intelligence service for Libya.
Now, says the Times, the CIA and other intelligence operatives are "scattered across Europe and the United States." Not only does this compromise the intelligence mission to counter Al Qaeda and related forces, but the investigation of the murder of Ambassadpr Stevens and the others is also compromised. American witnesses are gone from the area, and it is unclear whether "much forensic evidence" can be obtained from the sites that were held by the attacking forces and looted.
The investigation, says the Times, has turned to investigating if the attackers were members of AQIM, or were communicating with them during the attacks on the two separate locations. More than four hours elapsed in the attacks, but where the reinforcements and defending forces were has still not been answered.
Administration officials continued their lies and cover-up in anonymous statements to the Times. Confronted with the Times investigation of the "serious blow" to CIA efforts, these officials "acknowledge" the "serious setback" but insisted that intelligence collection is continuing. "The U.S. isn't close to being blind in Benghazi and eastern Libya," the lying official said.
Lyndon LaRouche, who is demanding the immediate ouster of Obama from office after the Benghazi attack, said today that Obama is blinding U.S. intelligence not only in Libya but throughout the Middle East. Obama is a danger to the nation, and if he becomes president again, civilization is doomed. That is why, LaRouche emphasized, Bill Clinton has got to break with Obama now. The nation would not long survive Obama's re-election as President—but Obama would not now be a likely President, if it were not for what Bill Clinton is doing to support him.

Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting -- A Platform for Imperial Doomsday; WWF Wants "An End in Sight" for Population

September 26, 2012 • 9:22AM
Tuesday was the last day of the 3-day annual conference of former President Bill Clinton's organization, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) — on the theme of "Designing for Impact," held in New York City at the time of the UN General Assembly heads of state sessions, as has been the case for several years.
While past CGI meetings were replete with green ideology and celebrity activists, this year left all that in the dust by presenting hardcore, imperial messages of depopulation, food control, and doom. This was shown most clearly in this morning's first plenary, titled, "The Future of Food," the very same title as Prince Charles' 2012 book, "On the Future of Food" (Rodale, February), a re-issue of an address he gave in Washington, D.C. in 2011. The food message was the standard royalist, genocidal drivel: resources are scarce, people must quit being wasteful; and poor, smallholder farmers can improve their lot by teaming up with big, nice multi-national companies.
The session was chaired by Rockefeller Foundation President, Judith Rodin. The three panelists were the Senior Vice President of the World Wildlife Fund, Jason Clay; Irene Rosenfeld, CEO of Kraft Foods, one of the world's largest dairy processors; the Agriculture Minister of Nigeria, Akinwumi Adesina, who formerly worked at the Rockefeller Foundation under Rodin; and lastly, a U.S. restaurateur who specializes in how to donate uneaten restaurant food to poor people. The discussion was equivalent to that which would have been convened in London in the 1840s, by a panel of experts on how to improve the diet of the poor in Ireland, by having them spill less from their milk pails, and improve their nutrition by gathering wild berries.
WWF spokesman Jason Clay led off the 'future of food' discussion by raising overpopulation, saying that by 2050, there would be 9.4 billion people, and then by 2100, there would be over 10 billion, before population "peaks, then drops." He lamented that 80 countries are growing at a rate of 5% or more, and "we don't have an end in sight." Watch out, he said. In 2010, Russia banned wheat exports, which led to the Arab Spring. Today, four of the eight nations which produce 65 percent of the world's oilseeds are all hit by drought. We will see the results of that on the streets. The discussion then went downhill from there.
Over the three days, there were six plenary panels, and dozens of other kinds of sessions, all featuring prominent crooks from the privileged, financial-bail-out class, including dinners funded by Goldman Sachs, Barclays, et al.; Lloyd Blankfein, chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs and Antony Jenkins, Group Chief Exec of Barclays were among the speakers, which included top executives from Deutsche Bank and the major global cartel mega-companies, including Wal-Mart, Mosaic (formerly a fertilizer division of Cargill), PepsiCo, Kraft, and others.
On Tuesday, both Barack Obama and Mitt Romney spoke. The closing session featured President Morsi of Egypt and Bill Clinton.
Mixing it up on this roster, were former British Prime Minister Tony Blair; UN Sec. Gen Ban Ki Moon; the presidents of Haiti, Malawi, and Mexico; Hillary Cliton and Timothy Geithner; and top execs of the World Bank, InterAmerican Development Bank, UNICEF, UN Industrial Development Organization, and numerous NGOs and foundations, including Skoll, Rockefeller, Bill & Melinda Gates, Ford, and MasterCard.
Among the conference sponsors were Barclays, the Ford Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Abraaj Capital, Credit Agricole, Shangri-La Industries, and more. More than enouhg to take your appetite away.
