Office Depot

Dear Kathy:
I am writing this to you to inform you I am recommending our groups no longer use the service of Office Depot.
You have aligned yourself with ICLEI, a United Nations marketing group, promoting the loss of private property rights using the environment.
We have found that their programs are based on fraudulent information like "man made global warming".
We will not be party to any group that promotes fraud.
Maybe your company should check out the facts before you align with a UN NGO promoting fraud.

Sincerely,
Karen Schoen

Dear DeWitt,
The following article has a graph visually confirms what Marty wrote. According to satellite measurements starting about 1993 sea levels were rising at a rate of 3 mm/year, about 12 inches per century until they hit a "pothole" and fell.

Chesapeake bay may be rising (relatively) at 2.5 mm/yr or 22 cm by the year 2100. This is 8 1/2 inches, far less than the 2-5 feet estimate from below ("WHEREAS, scientists predict an additional 2.3 to 5.2 feet of relative sea-level rise in the Chesapeake Bay region by 2100; " ). I attached a detailed study from the Virginia Institute of Marine Sciences with lots of data. I'm sure there are others too. Everyone seems to agree on 1-3 mm/yr sea level rise in the last century with lots of variability geographically due to local Subsidence, Emergence, and other factors.

Good morning gentlemen,

The data provided in our global warming meeting in Mathews a few weeks ago revealed that the sea level rise predicted in the information below is fraudulent. We constantly see legislative decisions made on fraudulent information like this. It is a real challenge for the average citizen to stay on top of the many things coming at us today because of Agenda 21 policies being implemented through various federal agencies intent of taking away our property rights. I fear that if we fail to reverse this the sovereignty of America will soon disappear.

Can you provide me with data I can pass on the legislators so they might understand that the data provided them is based on faulty computer models. It is my understanding that much more accurate data is obtained from satellites and shows approximately eight inches of sea level rise over a period of one hundred years.

I greatly appreciate the efforts that all of you make in providing accurate information  that exposes the fraud of the United Nations IPCC.

Dear Patron Northam, Chairman Howell
and Committee Members:

As a member of the VA Tea Party Federation Bill Reader Team, we are requesting your input on the  studies used in making the following determination:

"WHEREAS, scientists predict an additional 2.3 to 5.2 feet of relative sea-level rise in the Chesapeake Bay region by 2100; "

Could you also please advise us on who will compose the "stakeholder advisory panel"?

In conducting its study, the Virginia Institute of Marine Science shall (i) review and develop a comprehensive list of ideas and examples of strategies used in similar settings around the United States and the world; (ii) convene a stakeholder advisory panel for the purpose of discussing and assessing the feasibility of employing these strategies in Tidewater Virginia; and (iii) offer specific recommendations for the detailed investigation of preferred options for adapting to relative sea-level rise.

Until these queries are satisfied, we sincerely hope that yet another United Nations Agenda 21 bill is not summarily passed by the Committee with more tax-payer dollars squandered.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear Tricia:

Thank you for signing the Property Rights Petition!

The Resolution to put the property rights amendment into the Constitution is currently under consideration by the General Assembly. To be placed in the Virginia Constitution, the Resolution must pass both houses again, and then must be endorsed by Virginia's voters in a referendum. You can read the proposed Amendment here.

There are three easy ways you can help get it passed:

  1. Contact your state legislator. To send an e-mail, click here. You are also welcome to testify in support of the Amendment when it comes up before the various subcommittees and committees. You can track the progress of the Amendment and check hearing dates by clicking here.

  2. Contact your local government. Several local governments are opposing the Amendment, and as reported in the Washington Times, some are even spending tax dollars to hire lobbyists to fight it. You can contact your supervisors and City Councilors and make sure they know what you think about the Constitutional Amendment.

  3. Advocate with your neighbors. Because this Amendment will ultimately come before the voters in a referendum, we need everyone's support. You can write a letter to the editor, send out e-mails, or just talk to people in your church or local civics group. If you need more information to better make your case, let us know and we will send it to you!

To be successful, we need your help! Thank you for all you do to support private property rights in Virginia.

Sincerely,

Rob Bell

Dear Friend:

The Senate Committee on Privileges and Elections will vote on my Constitutional Amendment to protect property rights on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

As you may know, my House Joint Resolution 3 passed the House last week by a vote of 80-18.  (This is the Amendment that would limit eminent domain to public use, not the more nebulous "public purpose," and would also ensure that the government take no more property than necessary.)

If the Amendment is endorsed by the Committee, it will head to the full Senate, and if it passes there, it will come before the voters in a referendum this fall.  Given that the Senate has already voted in favor of a reciprocal measure, we are hopeful that the bill will pass committee on Tuesday.

You can join the fight for property rights by signing the Virginia Property Rights Petition.  Click here to sign it.

You can also contact your Senator directly by clicking here.

We're working hard, but continue to need your support.  Thank you for all you do to promote property rights in Virginia.

Sincerely,

Rob Bell
Delegate, 58th District

PS: I am happy that my other measures are also working toward becoming law.  My bill (HB 973) to impose a mandatory life sentence on any adult who rapes a child aged 12 or under was endorsed by the House and sent to the Senate, as was my bill (HB 970) to require that all private and public university employees report child abuse.
