Celebrating the first Earth Day in 1970 seemed like a good idea at the time. An estimated twenty million citizens joined in the nationwide events with all good intentions. After all, being good stewards of our environment is certainly a virtue.
However, the promoters of Earth Day had other objectives in mind. The fright-peddling that was spewed by them told a different story. "We are in an environmental crisis which threatens the survival of this nation, and of the world, as a suitable place of human habitation." Washington University biologist Barry Commoner, 1970.
"The world has been chilling sharply for about 20 years. If present trends continue, the world will be about 4 degrees colder for the global mean temperature in 1990, but 11 degrees colder in the year 2000. This is about twice what it would take to put us into an ice age." Ecologist Kenneth Watt said this to a Swarthmore College audience in 1970.
When that failed to materialize, the hue and cry became just the opposite – Global Warming. That has become well exposed as a hoax and thus has morphed into Climate Change, which very conveniently covers any climate event.
Years after the first Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson wrote in the EPA Journal that his major objective in planning Earth Day was to "organize a nationwide public demonstration so large it would, finally, get the attention of the politicians, and force the environmental issue into the political dialogue of the nation." In that regard he was successful. U S Representative Alexandria Ocasia Cortez and her ilk say that we have 12 years left to stop the 'Climate Catastrophe' Failure to act, according to a report released by the top scientific United Nations panel studying climate change, will usher in rising temperatures, rising sea levels and severe weather changes affecting millions of people across the world," states The Spokesman-Review
A year after Republican resistance stalled Virginia's effort to cap carbon emissions from large producers of the greenhouse gas at the forefront of climate change, the wheels are again in motion: Virginia is joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. Joining the cap-and-invest program was one of Democrats' top legislative priorities for the 2020 General Assembly session. Thanks to their majorities in both the House of Delegates and the Senate, they achieved their goal on mostly, but not quite, party-line votes. By Sarah Vogelsong, Virginia Mercury
By 2026, as many as 220 massive wind turbines — each taller than the Washington Monument — may be churning away less than 30 miles off the Virginia Beach coast, powering up to 650,000 homes with renewable energy. The $7.8 billion proposed offshore wind farm would be the nation's largest such project, but it's just one component of Richmond-based Dominion Energy Inc.'s plans for achieving its ambitious goal, By Elizabeth Cooper, Va Business Magazine
Earth Day organizers have proposed avoiding an environmental catastrophe by limiting man's supposed negative impact on the environment, mainly just by existing. "Too many cars, too many factories, too little water, and too much carbon dioxide — all can be traced easily to too many people" said Ehrlich in The Population Bomb. He proposed controlling population "hopefully through a system of incentives and penalties, but by compulsion if voluntary methods fail. Abortion is a highly effective method in the armory of population control." He added, "Many of my colleagues feel that some sort of compulsory birth regulation would be necessary to achieve [population] control. One plan often mentioned involves the addition of temporary sterilizers to water supplies or staple food. Doses of the antidote would be carefully rationed by the government to produce the desired population size."
As if that is not bad enough, Environmental Handbook editor De Bell recommended that, after halting world population growth, we "work toward reducing the current three and a half billion people to something less than one billion people …"If that sounds as if humans are reduced to the same caliber as animals, then consider what Gaylord Nelson said, "Man is just one of the creatures that the Lord put on this earth and is not more important than all the rest."
Lynn White, Jr., even said that religion itself needed to be changed. "More science and more technology are not going to get us out of the present ecologic crisis until we find a new religion, or rethink our old one."
All of which confirms that the powers-that-be mean business. This is not just wishful thinking on their part or an exercise in futility. They fully intend to implement this and will do anything they can get by with in order to silence those who oppose them. The plan is not only to downsize the population but also to downsize the standard of living of the remaining citizens as they are considered to be "environmental culprits."
In an interview with The New York Times podcast series, "The Daily," Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
said she was thankful tens of thousands of Americans were dying from the Wuhan flu.
She's happy the disease killed so many Americans, she said — "because she could score political points
or the far-left."
"Government at its best is an instrument to the public and the public's means of taking care of itself," she said, "and this pandemic has just exposed [to voters] the fragility of our system."
"I already hear people telling me, "I can't believe I didn't see this before,' and I'm just thankful that people are seeing it now," Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said. For Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, coronavirus is a political opportunity. She's not alone. House Whip James Clyburn, D-S.C. noted that thousands of Americans dying was a "tremendous opportunity" to advance his liberal agenda.
This rationale has been the basis for the power grabs by government, having been promoted as being necessary for "Sustainability," and made possible by convincing the populace that it is necessary in order to prevent climate disasters.
In one community after another, reasonable energy sources have unnecessarily been exchanged for the far more costly and less effective solar and wind energy sources, driving up prices and diminishing our ability to depend on having energy.
To varying degrees, county governments have imposed regulations on housing with plans for the future to totally dictate where and how people are housed. It is their plan for all humans to live in metropolitan areas, in government housing buildings, where they are more easily controlled than in private, individual and scattered housing.
Transportation is to be limited to people walking and bicycle riding locally and government transportation between metropolitans in order to restrict mobility. The loss of mobility is the loss of freedom.
Living in government housing would prevent you from owning a gun; an unarmed citizenry cannot defend themselves and does not have the means to depose a dictator.
The exception to all of the above, of course, is themselves, the ruling elite.
Even more telling as to the source of this movement, is the fact that the date for Earth Day is April 22 which just happens to also be the birthday of communist icon Vladimir Lenin. It is well known that communists are big on commemorating special event dates.
What is their ultimate goal? On Earth Day 1970, I. F. Stone said in his Earth Day speech, "There's no use talking about Earth Day until we begin to think like Earthmen. Not as Americans and Russians … but as fellow travelers on a tiny planet in an infinite universe."
On the same day, Norman Cousins bluntly stated: "Humanity needs a world order. The fully sovereign nation is incapable of dealing with the poisoning of the environment." He argued that "management of the planet … requires a world-government." (emphasis mine)
We must oppose this plan which is called Agenda 21/30. Originally called Agenda 21, it has more recently been called Agenda 30, pushing up their date of the expected time when they intend to have completed their total control over the populace
.
The first good step in the right direction was when President Trump took us out
of the Paris Climate Accord,
We need to contact our members of the Board of Supervisors and urge them to pass local legislation to undo the regulations that have already been imposed.
Finally, we need to get the US out of the UN, the world government that is the ultimate goal
of the Earth Day promoters. Contact your federal legislators and urge them to pass HR204
which would get US out of the UN.
